AEF Solutions has designed, developed, and are supplying a Filter/EMI protected EN3682 style connector for use on the IFF System for Tiger Helicopter.
The connector, which contains Signal, Power, Coaxial and Twinaxial contacts, is provided with Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) protection in the form of uni-directional and bi-directional diodes on many of these contacts to meet the requirements of DO 160 section 22 level 4.
Additionally, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection is afforded by the use of capacitors on a large number of contacts.
